千葉県柏市と姉妹都市を結んでいるトーレンス市では、トーレンス姉妹都市協会が、毎年4月末に日本文化紹介イベント「トーレンス文化祭」を行っています。今年で第45回になる「トーレンス文化祭」は、4月22日、23日にケン・ミラー・リクレーション・センターで行われます。物品販売の収益は、トーレンス姉妹都市協会の高校生交換プログラムに使われます。
