This Sunday, September 21, we will hold the “Autumn Higan Memorial Service,” starting at 1:30 PM. We warmly welcome everyone to join us.
This year’s Higan service is especially significant, as it will be the final memorial service conducted by Bishop Emeritus Taisen Miyata. Since coming to the United States in 1959, he has faithfully served as a Buddhist priest for 69 years. He will be returning to Japan this winter. We hope many of you will attend.
We are also accepting applications for wooden memorial tablets (kyōgi tōba) at $10 per tablet. If you wish to request one, please contact us at lakoyasan@yahoo.com.

今回のお彼岸法会は特別なもので、名誉主監 宮田諦詮師が導師をなさる最後の法会となります。1959年に渡米されて以来、69年間にわたりアメリカで僧侶としての務めを全うされました。この冬、日本へ帰国されます。ぜひ皆様お越しください。
